About Erick A Garcia

Erick was born in April 9 1997 in Burbank CA. Erick was a smart, charismatic, thoughtful, the family jokester, humble, given, genuine young man. he was very loving and supportive of his family and friends.
He was a good friend, son and brother. He loved music, jazz and writing. he also had a passion for cars. He loved cars so much that after graduating from Pete Knight High School in 2015 he attended and graduated at UTI in 2017 with a degree in Diesel and Industrial Technology. Erick died by suicide on June 7. 2017 he was 20 years old.
As his mom, I didn't see any signs and he never shared anything with me that he was struggling. The purpose of this nonprofit is to honor the life and legacy of Erick A Garcia and to bring mental health awareness and suicide prevention awareness to our Antelope Valley.
We bring anti-stigma education by providing resources and scholarships to our AV community. We partner with local agencies and nonprofits to reach out to our community to bring awareness. We host local events to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention awareness, we offer educational workshops, grief support groups in English and Spanish and we partnered up with Better Help to bring free therapy to our community! A Tribute to a Beloved Son and Friend

Erick A. Garcia, born on April 9, 1997, in Burbank, CA, was a remarkable individual. Described as smart, charismatic, and thoughtful, Erick had a unique ability to bring joy to those around him. He was the family jokester, always ready with a smile, and deeply loving and supportive of his family and friends.

Life of Passion and Purpose

Erick had a passion for music, particularly jazz, and writing. He also had a deep love for cars, which led him to pursue a degree in Diesel and Industrial Technology. After graduating from Pete Knight High School in 2015, Erick attended and graduated from UTI in 2017.

Tragic Loss

Tragically, Erick died by suicide on June 7, 2017, at the young age of 20. His passing deeply affected his loved ones, especially his mother, who was unaware of any struggles Erick may have been facing.

Honoring Erick's Memory

The "You Are Enough" Foundation was founded to honor Erick's life and legacy. Our mission is to bring mental health awareness and suicide prevention to the Antelope Valley community. We strive to educate and raise awareness about mental health issues, offering resources and scholarships to those in need.

Bringing Awareness and Support

Through partnerships with local agencies and nonprofits, we reach out to the community to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. We host local events, educational workshops, and grief support groups in both English and Spanish. Additionally, we have partnered with BetterHelp to provide free therapy to our community.
